Local places in Helsinki: Cafe BraheJan 07, 2017 - Thomas
Cafe Brahe is one of those small local places that always makes you happy just by existing. In the days of Starbucks and trendy post-hipster joints places like this allows you a look behind the shiny glossy surface and catch a glimpse of the actual day-to-day life of some of the locals that have been around for a long time. Want to experience the authentic Helsinki? Head out to Kallio for a cup of coffee and a great Cinnamon Roll (editor notes: the zone is actually called Alppiharju but to make it easier we just tag everything under Kallio ;). The place is tiny, and we mean TINY, but hey it just adds to the atmosphere.
Go here if you like non-trendy local places with cheap big pastries & slightly bitter filter coffee. The Cinnamon Rolls are without a doubt one of the best in the city, highly recommended. If you feel adventurous, try the rice porridge for breakfast.
Läntinen Brahekatu 6, Kallio district.
